FAQ

  1. Q. Who will be taking the classes and what experience do they have?

Women from all walks of life and most will be beginners. Some have dance experience and some do not. Age varies between 18 - 65 years and older. My oldest to date was 70 years old. She was hot. No background is required, this maybe the start of your new background. Just imagine what you can do! Yes, imagine think big really big.

  2. Q. How old do I have to be to sign up for classes?

You must be 18 or older

  3. Q. Will I be able to perform all of the moves?

There is no expectation for you to master all the moves but we do have high expectations that you will have loads of fun while getting into fantastic shape. This is not about comparing yourself to others in the class. Every person is individually unique and the learning curve is based upon the desire of each person. You will be amazed at how fast you will progress to more advanced moves. I can tell you that you will workout every thing but your ear lobes and eyelids. Plan on a few bruises it always happens to beginners.

  4. Q. How fit do I have to be to feel comfortable in a class?

The beginner class is designed for everybody. Some upper body strength is required for the intermediate/advanced work. The weight limit on the pole is approximately 200 lbs.. To accommodate individual fitness levels, we will adjust moves as we progress though the class to fit each student. Most students have never even touched a pole before coming to our class! The classes are meant to challenge you not to intimidate you. So relax, and get ready for a great workout and have a lot of fun. Oh, by the way if you are nervous about taking the classes you are not alone. Everyone tells me they were nervous when they came to their first class. It is a normal feeling, so stop worrying and sign up for your classes. I like to say, “If not now, when?”

  5. Q. What are the requirements when using the pole?

You must wash your hands, and legs to remove any oils, lotions or moisturizes, this impedes pole gripping and can make it dangerous.
Remove all jewelry; it will damage the pole surface.

  6. Q. What type of clothing and shoes should I wear?

Think dancewear and exercise clothing. Tight clothing with spandex and lycra are the best choices. Nothing baggy, it’s not sexy and it will get in the way of your performance. I wear a one piece, dance bodysuit layered with a cute top and a little elastic belt. It makes me feel sexy. This is important, wear something that you feel sexy in; remember you are going to be pole dancing not walking on the treadmill. I like those really cute shrugs with glittery sequins too. If you are the type of woman who doesn’t feel sexy in anything don’t worry about that. You will find your sexy in there some where during the 8 week session. Spandex shorts and an athletic top is a very sexy way to go too. Some women are not comfortable in shorts, some are, it’s up to you. I prefer ballet slippers to no footwear at all. You can go barefoot or bring a pair of socks. We wear stilettos in the more advanced classes.

  7. Q. Do I need to own a pole to take a pole class?

No, you do not need to own a pole. We provide poles in the classes; however you may want to purchase a pole of your own. That way you can practice anytime you want and show off your skills to that special someone! We sell poles.

  8. Q. Is there Nudity?

None. We show you sexy the dance moves and routines, then you go home and dance to your hearts content.

  9. Q. What are the class sizes?

Class size depends on the size of the studio space. Typically 10 to 15.

  10. Q. What will I learn in the classes?

You will learn sensual moves and routines on the floor and pole. Classes are designed to be progressive; each succeeding class builds on the foundation laid out on the 1st class. All moves are designed to combine strength conditioning, cardio and a whole lot of sexy dance moves to wow yourself and anyone you chose to share your new talent with. You will learn to let go of your inhibitions and realize how special and talented you are as a woman. All taught in a non-judgmental environment.
